shape, with a sweet face and a smile that looked as if a thousand flower
buds had suddenly opened their petals. The slight wrinkles of the bridge
between her eyes that she sometimes created brought forth both a twinkle in
her glances and the possibility of some endearing mischief. And yet her
acting had purity and innocence as well. That's the kind of stuff that used
to melt young men's hearts.

like a poet. I too found her very attractive. But it was sad that she
refused to work with Guru Dutt in "Pyaasa" because she raised her price
after the success of "Aar Paar". Kaash Shyama Ji ne "Pyaasa" mein role kiya
hota.

to acting in movies, but I didn't know she was from Lahore. Now in her 70s,
she is rotund-- really heavy in shape and weight. Thanks for the info.
